Canine Counseling is based in Smyrna, GA and provides dog training and behavior services to the Atlanta region.

Our training methods are science-based, free from punishment and force and aim to not only help improve your pup's overall mental health but set you, their caretakers, up for ongoing success.

Our services cover a wide range of dogs and their needs, from obedience for puppies to more advanced problem-solving for dogs experiencing anxiety, compulsions or aggressive-type behaviors.

Initial Consultation (In-Home)

Available to all within a 10 mile radius of Smyrna GA. Consists of a 50 minute, in-depth consultation and discussion about your pet’s behavioural needs, as well as advice and training suggestions. Does not include follow-up notes.

Initial Consultation (Virtual)

$ 65.00 Per 50 minutes

Available to all. Consists of a 50 minute, in-depth consultation and discussion about your pet’s behavioural needs, as well as advice and training suggestions. Assessment is via Zoom call. Does not include follow-up notes.

Social Puppy Package

$ 595.00 Per Package

For all within ~10m of Smyrna, GA. Give your pup the best start in life with a tailored training package that can include basic obedience, co-operative care, socialization and more. This package includes five 55 minute sessions to be scheduled weekly. This package is intended for pups under 6 months old.

How did you hone your craft?

13 years of working as a certified veterinary nurse (UK) specialising in emotional health and behaviour. Regular, dedicated study of canine and feline behaviour and wellbeing. 3 years as a full-time canine behaviour consultant and trainer.

What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?

Have patience and compassion, not only for your pets but for yourself. Navigating the varying and complex life stages of cats and dogs can be exhausting and frustrating - don't rush your training, take breaks, quit while you're ahead and don't push them (or yourself) past their point of comfort.
