In my paintings, I recreate dogs without much description. I strive to portray dogs in a distinctive manner that eschews detailed descriptions. My primary goal is to capture the raw and bold essence of these beloved animals. Instead of relying heavily on traditional drawing techniques, I place greater emphasis on the expressive power of paint itself. This approach lends itself to a textured surface, where my color choices are deliberately intense and dramatic. I aim to achieve the utmost painterly quality in my work.
Within my dog portraits, I deliberately depart from conventional anatomical forms. Instead, I harness the chaos and dynamism of brushstrokes to infuse my subjects with a unique and charged energy. Paradoxically, it's through this process of deconstruction that their individual characters come to life.
My ultimate intention is to elicit a visceral reaction from viewers, particularly those who share a deep love for dogs. Through my art, I aspire to forge a profound connection with fellow dog enthusiasts, tapping into the emotional bond that unites us with our four-legged companions.
