privacy

Last updated: November 2, 2026

This privacy policy discloses the privacy practices for https://www.petworks.com. This privacy policy applies solely to information collected by this Website. It explains the following:

  • What personally identifiable information is collected from you through our Website, how we use it and with whom it may be shared.
  • What choices are available to you regarding the use of your data, including the ability to have us delete your personally identifiable information; and
  • The security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information.

INFORMATION COLLECTION, USE, AND SHARING

We collect information in two ways. First, we collect information you voluntarily give us through the Website, via email, or in other direct communications with you. Second, when you visit the Website, certain information about your device and your activity is collected automatically through cookies and similar technologies, including by the analytics and advertising partners described in "Cookies and Tracking Technologies" and "Advertising and Analytics Partners" below.

We use your information to respond to you, to provide and administer our services, to process bookings and payments, and to measure and improve our marketing. We do not sell your personal information for money. However, we do share certain information with advertising partners so they can measure the performance of our advertising and show you relevant ads, and some state privacy laws define that kind of sharing as a "sale" or as "sharing for targeted advertising." You can limit this as described in "Your Advertising Choices" below.

To keep our users informed and engaged, we may contact you via email in the future to tell you about specials, new products or services, or changes to this privacy policy unless you ask us not to by "opting out" of these communications as described in "Your Access to and Control Over Information."

GOOGLE APIs

Petworks use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

YOUR ACCESS TO AND CONTROL OVER INFORMATION

You may opt out of any future contacts from us at any time by emailing us at [email protected]. You may also do any of the following, at any time, by emailing us at [email protected]:

  • See what data we have about you, if any.
  • Change/correct any data we have about you.
  • Have us delete any data we have about you.
  • Express any concern you have about our use of your data.

YOUR ADVERTISING CHOICES

You can limit how your information is used for advertising:

SECURITY

We take precautions to secure information you provide to us via the Website.

Whenever we collect personally identifiable information (such as credit card data), that information is encrypted and transmitted to us in a secure way. You can verify this by looking for a closed lock icon at the bottom of your web browser, or looking for "https" at the beginning of the address of the web page.

We also protect your information offline. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job (for example, billing or customer service) are granted access to personally identifiable information. The locations in which we store personally identifiable information are kept in a secure environment.

REGISTRATION

In order to use the Website, a user must first complete the registration form. During registration a user is required to provide certain information (such as their name and email address). This information is used to contact you about the products/services on our site in which you have expressed interest. At your option, you may also provide demographic information (such as gender or age) about yourself, but it is not required.

Additionally, if you would like to provide services through our Website as a pet pro, then you will need to create a pet pro account, which you can do by clicking here.

ORDERS

We may request specific information from you on our order form. For example, to book services through Petworks, you may be required to provide relevant contact information (e.g., name and address) and payment information which is used for billing purposes and to fill your order. If we have trouble processing an order, we'll use the contact information you provided to contact you.

COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES

We use cookies and similar technologies (including pixels and tags) on our Website. A cookie is a small piece of data stored on your device. We use them for three purposes:

  • Necessary. To keep you logged in, remember your preferences, secure the Website, and process payments.
  • Analytics. To understand how visitors find and use the Website so we can improve it.
  • Advertising. To measure the performance of our advertising, to understand which ads lead to bookings, and to show you relevant ads on other platforms.

We also store a first-party cookie that records how you arrived at our Website, including advertising click identifiers and campaign parameters from the link you followed. This cookie lasts up to 90 days and lets us attribute a booking to the campaign that produced it.

Some of these technologies are operated by our advertising and analytics partners, who may combine the information they collect on our Website with information they hold about you from other sites and services. In connection with a completed booking, we may provide these partners with a scrambled (cryptographically hashed) version of your email address, phone number, and account identifier, together with the booking amount, so they can match the booking to an advertisement you saw or clicked. Hashing means we do not send your email address or phone number in readable form, but these partners may be able to match the hashed values to an existing account they hold.

You can control cookies through your browser settings, and you can limit advertising uses as described in "Your Advertising Choices" above. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Website from working.

SHARING

We share personal information in the following circumstances:

  • Between pet parents and pet pros. When you book or request a service, we share the information necessary for the other party to contact you and perform the service.
  • Payment processing. We use a third-party payment processor to bill pet parents and pay pet pros. Under our agreement with our processor, it is not permitted to retain, share, store, or use personally identifiable information for any secondary purpose beyond processing your payment.
  • Service providers. We share information with vendors who perform services on our behalf, such as hosting, email delivery, text messaging, customer support, background checks, and the AI providers that power the automated assistance described in "Messages and Platform Communications" below. They are permitted to use the information only to provide those services to us.
  • Advertising and analytics partners. As described below.
  • Legal and safety. We may disclose information when required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Petworks, our users, or the public.
  • Business transfers. If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction.

MESSAGES AND PLATFORM COMMUNICATIONS

Messages, attachments, and quote requests you exchange through PetWorks are stored on our systems. We access and process them only in the following ways:

  • Running the service. Delivering your messages and notifications, and processing the bookings, quotes, and payments they relate to.
  • Automated assistance. Automated systems, including AI, read message threads in order to help bookings move forward — for example answering a question, giving you a booking or custom quote link, or sending a follow-up from PetWorks Concierge. Some messages you receive from PetWorks Concierge are generated this way. These systems exist to help pet parents and pet pros with booking and platform support. They are not there to evaluate, review, or second-guess the professional guidance a pet pro provides, and we do not use them for that purpose.
  • Support and disputes. PetWorks staff can view message threads, and do so when we are asked to help — resolving a dispute, investigating a booking or payment problem, answering a question about how the platform works, or responding to a report. We do not review threads for any other reason.
  • Terms enforcement and safety. Automated checks flag messages that appear to take a booking off PetWorks, which our Terms do not permit, or that raise safety or fraud concerns. These checks are performed by software rather than by a person reading along, and a thread is brought to staff attention when a check is triggered. We may also act on a violation that comes to our attention some other way — for example, if we notice it while reviewing a thread for one of the reasons described above, or if someone reports it to us.

We use third-party AI providers to power these automated features. We do not permit them to use message content for any purpose other than providing those features to us, and we do not authorize its use to train their models. A provider may retain content briefly for security and abuse monitoring.

ADVERTISING AND ANALYTICS PARTNERS

We work with the following partners, who collect information through our Website and use it in accordance with their own privacy policies:

These partners receive information about pages you view and, when you complete a booking, the booking amount and the hashed identifiers described above. They are not limited to using that information solely on our behalf.

LINKS

This Website contains links to other sites. Although we may provide links to other websites as a possible resource to you, we are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of such other sites, and you should review the privacy policies, terms and other information of any such other sites to understand how those other sites operate and might use your information.
