Whiskers, Tails & Scales Pet Transport & Boarding - Nationwide
Proud to be accredited by the Better Business Bureau. Whiskers, Tails & Scales is a licensed Limited Liability Company specializing in professional pet transportation. We hold a Class T license under the Animal Welfare Act (7 U.S.C. 2131 et seq.) as well as certified to transport hybrid & wildlife animals. It allows us to safely transport a variety of animals including (whiskers) cats, (tails) dogs, (scales) reptiles, and even goats, birds and small pets.
We offer safe, insured, and fully-covered ground and air transport services for your pet, ensuring their well-being from door to door. Whether your pet is a fur-baby, purr-baby, or scaly-baby, rest assured they are covered with our comprehensive pet insurance during their journey.
Our network of drivers spans across the United States, and we handle both domestic and international transports (via ground or air). Each member of our team is a passionate animal lover, many of whom have extensive experience in fields such as:
Veterinary Technology
Dog Training
Animal Rescue
Pet Grooming
Boarding
Pet Nanny Services
We are proud to have been featured on Channel 6 ABC News Philadelphia for reuniting a grieving sister with her late sibling's beloved pet. In addition, our team assisted in the rescue of several Husky sled dogs in the Federal Krabloonik case in Aspen, Colorado and successfully transported 25 pets to Canada, saving them from euthanasia. With hundreds of pet transports under our belt, our commitment to professionalism, cleanliness, and a genuine love for the animals in our care is what truly sets us apart.
Besides love, hugs and kisses for your pet, do you have any questions or suggestions you to make this process easier for you both?
We also offer Afterpay as a payment option if needed.
I temporarily (for the ride only) provide crates:
Small (up to 15 lbs - 21" L x 16" W x 15" H)
Medium (25 lbs to 30 lbs - 28" L x 20.5" W x 21.5" H)
Large (50 lbs - 70 lbs - 36" L x 25" W x 27")
XLarge (70 lbs to 90 lbs - 40" L x 27" W x 30)
XXLarge (90 lbs to 125 lbs - 48"L x 32"W x 35"H)
I supply wee wee pads, poopy bags, blankets, pillows, wipes, filtered water, food (but recommend familiar food to them to be sent along with travel), harnesses, leashes and seatbelts (USDA regulations require all pets in a crate during travel), treats (if approved by breeder and/or client) You are more than welcome to provide these items along with your pet(s) for their travel also.
I am very particular with all pets. All crates are sanitized after every use. We take strict care in maintaining cleanliness to prevent Canine Parvovirus, E.coli bacteria, viruses and contamination. Our veterinary approved disinfectant is an EPA approved hospital grade cleaner. It is used in many of the world’s leading veterinary hospitals and zoological institutions as well as by leading reptile, avian and exotic pet breeders and keepers.
I love animals and even though I can't have them all, but I can enjoy yours for the short period of time we spend together.
Do you have any questions for me to make this process easier for you? Besides love, are there any special requirements? I have all options available.

Hope all is well. My name is Melissa and I am a professional USDA Certified pet transporter. I am the owner of Whiskers, Tails & Scales Pet Transport & Boarding, LLC. A people person and animal lover to the core. That’s what prompted me to start this business. Although, I know I can’t have every animal/pet right now, I sure can love yours for our short trip and/or stay together.
Recognized by Channel 6 ABC News Philadelphia for reuniting a grieving sister with her sister's pet.
I am recognized for my professionalism, cleanliness, care and love for the pets I transport by breeders and people purchasing their new loved ones.
You do not see many reviews and/or bookings on Petworks as I have many, many repeat clients, referrals and breeders that will only book me. You can tell by the many pictures of me with many different fur or purr - babies.
I am a Licensed LLC., Fully Insured (yes, your fur-baby, purr-baby or scaly-baby is covered with pet insurance in my care) and I am USDA Certified with a Class T license to transport animals under the Animal Welfare Act (7 U.S.C. 2131 et seq.) and registered with the Georgia Department of Agriculture Animal Protection Division as a Kennel/Boarding facility for up to 20 animals and certified by The American Red Cross in Cat & Dog First Aid. It is vital to have these credentials.
I know you need top priority service for your fur-baby(s). All our transports are considered VIP. We offer GPS tracking the entire ride of your transportation process.
All inclusive in quoted price. It’s all the care services that come along with the transport (i.e. stopping every 3-5 hrs., providing pictures and video updates, feeding, changing their wee-wee pads and/or walking, cleaning up vomit if they get car sick, making sure they stay hydrated while on their travel(s), and most of all, human interaction and love to make it less traumatizing on them).

What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?
You can determine if your pet is dehydrated by pulling up on the skin between their shoulder blades. Upon letting go, the skin should spring right back in place. If it stays tented this can be a sign of dehydration.
What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!
I truly love and enjoy working with animals. I love to see the expressions of happiness on the new fur-baby's parent(s) faces when they meet for the 1st time.
