Virtual Dog Training and Behavior Modification - Nationwide
KK9 East is the virtual training arm of KK9 Dog Training. We provide compassionate training and behavior modification support for dogs and their guardians. Behaviors that are problematic can create stress for everyone in the family. Looking at the whole dog through the LEGS (Learning Environment Genetics Self) model, we create individual behavior plans and provide support to bring about a more peaceful co-existence.
Safety and Predictability
Training and behavior modification strategies can be categorized into safety or predictability. When addressing behavior concerns our training plans include management protocols for safety and predictable training strategies that build trust and consistency.

How did you hone your craft?
My background as an educator and knowledge of applied behavior analysis was a strong foundation for becoming a dog trainer. After studying dog training on my own and mentoring with a certified trainer, I obtained my certification from CCPDT. I am a life-long learner and am continuously studying and learning!
What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?
Frequency tops duration! Play a game or practice a skill when you have 3 minutes rather than waiting for a chunk of free time to "do training".
What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!
Some trainers want to work with dogs and not people, but I love working with the wonderful people who want the best for their dogs!

Kay is AMAZING. We were not prepared for our energetic puppy and she helped train us to manage and cultivate him. Looking forward to our next classes!
- Jeremy SKay is a wonderful teacher - very attentive to both the dogs as well as the dog parents! She explains and demonstrates with each pet the command. Helps to set the right expectation - class time zips so fast. The class notes address the session plus tips on dog enrichment are there for additional opportunities to keep your pet mentally challenged. Izzy and I love our Monday’s with or new BF Kay!
- Susan Mjust something about kay, my pup Maggie has met Kay 3 times and Maggie knows exactly who Kay is and seems Kay knows exactly who Maggie is, Kay has reach into Maggie's personality deeper in 3 meetings then I have done in 3 weeks thank you Kay for the wonderful opportunity to really see Maggie in action!

- Abby MMy little 5 month old poodle Zak learned a lot from attending Kay’s classes. She was always patient and kind and my puppy looked forward to attending her classes! We are still continuing to practice all the techniques Kay taught us. She also answered my e-mail questions during the week if something came up that I was not sure how to handle. I highly recommend this training program! Thanks Kay!

I have recommended my pet sitting/dog walking clients to Kay and they all love her and her wonderful training techniques.
