The Peaceful Paw - Animal Massage Therapy - Murrells Inlet, SC
Research has shown that over the past 10 years, people have become more health conscious and are seeking a more natural lifestyle. Over 30 million dollars per year is spent on alternative treatments such as acupuncture, animal reiki, chiropractic care, herbal medicine, aromatherapy, acupressure, yoga and massage. These same people are now choosing similar type care for their pets.
While alternative care in not a replacement for traditional veterinary care, many people choose to incorporate some type of alternative care with traditional veterinary care.
Just as with humans, massage is soothing and calming. It is a great modality to help our dogs relax, which can lead to a reduction in stress and the negative effects stress can have on the body. So often we don't think about the effects that stress and anxiety can have on ourselves, let alone our animals. Massage provides a safe, natural, noninvasive method of maintaining your dog's health and well being.
Massage is far more than just petting your dog and goes beyond pampering. Massage enhances the quality of life. Massage can help the dog as a whole (mind, body and spirit) by putting the body back in balance.
The Peaceful Paw is an insured mobile canine massage service. Sessions are provided in the comfort and familiarity of your pet's home. I personalize and tailor each session based upon your pet's medical history, your concerns, and what I observe and feel during the initial visit.
I trained at the Pet Massage Training and Research Institute in Toledo, Ohio under the founder, Jonathan Rudinger. Jonathan has been pivotal in helping to develop the profession of canine massage and is an established authority in the field.
I am also a Certified Animal Aromatherapy Practitioner obtaining my certification through Ashi Therapy in Banner Elk, NC I have created my own grooming product line for Dogs only, that is all-natural, vegan friendly and cruelty free.
I am a member of IAAMB and NAHA. When not running the Peaceful Paw, I volunteer with several rescues in North Myrtle Beach and Pawley's Island, SC. I enjoy beach yoga and walking on the beach with my husband and 3 dogs.
