Sassy Swimmers - Dog Physical Therapy and Rehab - Birmingham, AL
Swimming is great for any dog that needs to achieve a state of well-being. Swimming can help with improving circulation, muscle strength, flexibility, endurance and a much stronger heart. It is wonderful for dogs who are recovering from an injury, dogs that are paralyzed and also dogs suffering from degenerative joint disease. Swimming is also great for dogs that have an arthritis due to aging or have any hip dysplasia, fractures, neurological disorders or even an amputation of a limb.
We also teach dogs to swim. Starting a puppy out when it is young to swim is great exercise and also burns tons of energy.
We swim YEAR Round. I have an indoor heated pool for winter.
