Your pal is important to you and I strive to create a portrait that you will love and which will honor the relationship you share or have shared. I have not yet found an animal I haven't LOVED drawing - cats, dogs, equine, rodents, reptiles, fish, birds, and more. I work in colored pencil offering highly detailed portraits on smooth white paper.
With your portrait I will include a mat and plastic packaging. I do not frame artwork - however I work in sizes that are standard so that you may choose to frame the work yourself easily.
The smallest size I offer is 5 x 7, with the understanding that the smaller the portrait the less detail that can be incorporated into the piece. The next larger size is 8 x 10 which is the most popular.
Often pet parents enjoy having a head portrait at life size but I also offer full body pet portraits or multiple animals in one portrait.
I work from photography and I'll need an image or images of your companion to be drawn. The better the photograph the more detail I will be able to render into the piece feeling confident to capture the best portrait. Portraits are wonderful gifts for yourself but they also are unique and treasured gifts to give to others for birthdays, weddings, holidays, or just because.
