Professional Positive Dog Training - Greeneville, TN
We train by positive means, and your dog loves it. You learn doggie communication while having a great time opening up to each other. Kat has been teaching professionally since 1998. We can handle all types of training, including service dogs.
We also board and groom at All Creatures Country Club, where our training center is located.
Our training is based on Sue Eh's Levels protocol. Your dog advances at their own pace due to what he has learned in the past. If you dedicate to your training with a pupster, you can develop a rock-solid recall installed for that dog's life. Operant and Classical conditioning is the easiest and most rewarding way to train a dog.
We use no aversive methods, no pain, and especially no shock. Once you try to employ those methods, you actually break trust with your partner. And if you have ever been there with a human, you know you never get it back.
Come join us; you'll love it: boarding, grooming, and training; we are here for you.

Initial consultation for behavior and training questions.
We will discuss what is going on with your dog and work out what needs to be addressed, and how to go about it.
The classes have no expiration date; we track your attendance, making life less stressful for you. There are no refunds.
Except for puppy classes (they tire easily), each class is approximately 1.5 hours long, including socialization time for the dogs and question-and-answer time with Kat and other trainers.
We train in Levels, which means it is up to you and your dog where you are with your training and even what behaviors you want to train.
This is NOT "Cookie Cutter" training that you find at places like PetsMart.
Unfortunately, I get a lot of dogs who have been through the PetsMart training programs who became so stressed they have developed behaviors that we have to resolve for the owners.
The quickest way to get the best-behaved dog is to start right, and fun is the name of the game.
A "Trained Dog" understands the rules and loves them.
A "Trained Dog" is welcomed by people in public situations.
A "Trained Dog" comes when called Always.
A "Trained Dog" has the least stress-filled life.
A "Trained Dog" can be a helpful dog around the house.
A "Trained Dog" is thrilled to "Chill" with you.
A "Trained Dog" doesn't lose its life in an Animal Control Facility.
Time constraints, inability to get the dog in the car, or lack of transportation make attending regularly scheduled classes impossible.
In those instances, and even for "tune-ups," Kat's trainers are available to schedule a Private training session for you as needed.
Behavior issues require an initial 2-hour evaluation with beginning handling.
There will be no exceptions, and follow-up training sessions in our training center or your home can be scheduled as needed.
The first time you come includes a consultation and evaluation testing for your dog.
A plan is devised covering your needs and wants, and we will go from there with sessions as you see fit.
The beginning behaviors addressed are as follows:
Name recognition
Attention
Sit
Down
Stay
Wait
Leave It
As we progress, other behaviors will be available to fit your wants and needs.
We understand time constraints make it impossible to attend regularly scheduled classes, which are recommended to socialize your dog.

In kennel training at our facility. Exposure to basic obedience advancing at the individual dog's pace, working through duration, distance, and distractions for each behavior.
Each week goes forward, building from where the dog is currently and progressing at the dog's pace.
After each week, the owner/handler is required to spend four hours in classes working their dog through his currently realized behaviors.
Behaviors only get stronger through repetition.
No one gets it in the initial one-week session of Board & Train. To strengthen what the dog has learned and make it more acceptable in given situations, a two-week training is more helpful.

This is a drop-off for a tune-up type of training day. Designed to work on one specific issue you are having with the pupster.
He will work with a trainer for approximately 3 hours total throughout the day.
Your dog arrives at 9:00 AM sharp, and you pick him up between 4:00 & 6:00 PM.
This is still at the dog's pace in training. However, exposure is everything, especially with certain breeds.
You are already boarding Fido, and there is an issue you need to resolve while you are away.
We will work on that for you in addition to your boarding fee, the 3 sessions with your dog will be this additional fee.
Many times the pet owner doesn't have the skill set to communicate with the pupster about what is really necessary and work on additional behavior responses.
That is what this Boarding day tune-up will work on addressing. Perhaps one day will solve the problem, and if not, then please book this again when Fido is actively boarding with us.
