Over the last 8 years, I have come to the understanding that the most important part of training a dog is the owner and their approach. Positive.
Many dog owners I work with have only had a dog growing up as a child. So, to some of these people, dogs are play buddies. They do not realize what the dog needs from you, the owner, on a regular basis.
My style of in-home dog training is focused towards what the dog needs. Sometimes I hear dog owners saying “NO” on a consistent basis. What is missing in the owner’s communication with the dog that causes “NO, NO, NO”?
I work with you, the owner, to teach you communication skills with your dog, and about how your energy affects your dog listening to you. What does your dog need in the way of mental and physical exercises? We also go over the type of diet you are feeding your dog, the treats you give them, and when and how you give your dog treats.
When you, the owner, and your dog are on the same page, communication is now understood and frustration by both is eliminated.
