Pet Loss at Home - Dr. Donna - In Home Pet Euthanasia - Baldwin, NY
Dr. Donna O'Leary and her Team help pet owners around Long Island and Staten Island with a compassionate home service for end-of-life. Losing a pet is one of life’s hardest events...we are here to help. With not being allowed to go inside your veterinary clinics, being with a loved one during this end-of-life is our goal. We arrive at a the home, a simple sedation, euthanasia, and the service options are home burial or cremation, ashes or no ashes. Helping with timing and quality of life are some of the hardest things we do in this difficult situation. Being in the home or yard surrounded by the comfort of things familiar is our service.
Just like humans, pets can experience and react to health changes in different ways. Their response depends greatly on the specific disease. That's why open discussions with your veterinarian are crucial. For example, a beagle with congestive heart failure might benefit from euthanasia before painful symptoms, like difficulty breathing, worsen. On the other hand, an older German Shepherd with arthritis can often live comfortably at home with proper pain management.
Hang in there. We are here to help. If your situation is urgent or an emergency, please call us for help at 877-219-4811. Thank You.
