How did you hone your craft?

Dixon fell into my lap by accident… I had a Military Wife reach out to me in desperate need to surrender her dog to the Southern Nevada Pug Rescue. She was heartbroken to give up on her dog of 7 years but she could no longer afford to care for him and all her vet would offer her was a $200 per month big pharma pill called ‘Atopica’. SNPR agreed to take him in if I would foster and after ruffly a month of care, I foster failed and adopted him myself because I had become OBSESSED with curing his allergies without it breaking the bank! So I felt the need to adopt him myself to save his life. Before we fell in love with our holistic lifestyle, we found a cheaper alternative to Atopica called ‘Apoquel’. But then in 2017, he started to become very ill. Our new holistic vet diagnosed him with EPI and that’s when I knew the drug was dangerous. After years of research and consulting with holistic experts, I chose NOT to suppress his immune system but to find the actual root cause and then we treated it and brought him back to life! Dixon truly taught me that everything starts in the gut microbiome. You need to Listen to their body, not just plop a big pharma pill into their food and call it a day. That’s not enough! Dixon is now 18 years old and THRIVING.

What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?

I watched my childhood dog suffer for 6 months before dying on the specialist’s operating table due to a misdiagnosis by a Conventional Veterinarian. This moment taught me that if we can be proactive with our pet's health, we can possibly avoid having to say goodbye too early. Later as I was studying animal caregiving, I started to see Abuse, Fraud, and Neglect which inspired me to educate!

What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!
