Nicole Begley Pet Photography - Cornelius, NC
Hi! I'm Nicole Begley, a zoological animal trainer turned pet photographer and photographic educator. I have a bunch of crazy letters that I can list after my name - M.Photog.Cr., CPP, which means that I'm a Master Photographer, Photographic Craftsman, and a Certified Professional Photographer through the Professional Photographers of America (PPA) organization. What that means for you is that you can trust me to create artwork that will stand the test of time.
In addition to capturing the character of your best friend, I am also the founder of Hair of the Dog, an online community in which I empower pet photographers to turn their dreams into reality and create successful and profitable businesses. I've also authored a book “Pet and Equine Photography for Everyone”, available on Amazon.
I'm the creator of the #selfiedog series, a travel addict, and a chocolate martini connoisseur and I share my home with my husband, two small humans, and my Puerto Rican rescue dog Zoey. Oh yes, I'm also Chief of Staff to Emma the cat.

How did you hone your craft?
I've spent the last ten years learning from some of the most successful photographers in the industry - in fact, I still regularly invest in my continued education as we are always learning and expending our craft.
What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?
Just breathe. Animals can easily tell when we are stressed, and that makes photographing them challenging. Just relax, let your dog be a dog and you will capture much happier expressions.
What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!
Print your photos. Whether you choose to invest in professional pet photography or not, make sure you print some of your images so that they don't get lost in the digital clutter.
