LifeWays Animal Reiki For Pets - Nationwide

Our animal companions thrive with Reiki. Many are "Reiki sponges" and will accept as much as we can offer them. The healing powers of Reiki's Life Energy are amazing. Sharing this healing practice with others - human and non-human - is always a blessing.

Reiki began for me with a beloved cat suffering intestinal cancer. Our vet said we had weeks, maybe a month. Our Reiki Master friend offered to bring Reiki to us. I was skeptical. Then she treated our Valkyrie - who lived for six months, responded well to medical treatments, and was her old affectionate, happy self. When she passed, very gently, in her special person's lap on Christmas Eve, 1999, we knew her final months had been good, a gift from the healing energies of Reiki. Cats are not known to respond to placebos. I was convinced. The effect Reiki had on our Kyri put me on the Reiki path.

Since then, I have become a Reiki Master Teacher myself in both traditional Western Reiki and the Usui/Holy Fire® III system. About 1/4 of my work is Distant Reiki with animal companions. I also offer house calls for hands-on or close-by Reiki when that feels most appropriate. Dogs, cats, horses, iguanas, cockatiels ~ Reiki brings deep relaxation, stress reduction, comfort, energy balancing, an increased feeling of overall wellbeing, and stimulation of natural healing processes for body, mind, and spirit.

No one can promise that Reiki will cure a problem - we're not practicing medicine. But it is a complementary treatment that can increase the effectiveness of other treatments. Reiki is a safe, practical, non-invasive, non-pharmaceutical, results-focused process of energy transfer that promotes healing. Add it to the treatment of behavioral issues, medical issues, stress, promoting general wellbeing - in all situations, Reiki will help.

Our Animal Reiki service is based upon the use of Distant Reiki as practiced in the Let Animals Lead® system developed by Kathleen Prasad of SARA, the Shelter Animals Reiki Association. Our basic program is a minimum of 30 minutes of Distant Reiki sent daily for 7 days, for $185. A single session is $35. I will always recommend more Reiki rather than less - the effects are cumulative, and the more Reiki I can offer, the more effective it will be. I will want a photograph of your companion, and I will let you know when and how each session goes from my perspective.

Even if you happen to be in our service area, I don't recommend bringing your companion to my office - travel to a strange place and awareness of the resident felines is more apt to be stressful than helpful! I will, however, come to you if you prefer. When home visits are possible, I offer a session of 30 minutes or so with your companion (the amount of time will be up to the animal!) plus time to talk with you. The first visit is $100, the second is $87, and visits beyond that are $75 each. If you're more than 30 minutes travel time from our office, we add $20 for each additional quarter-hour on the road.
