How did you hone your craft?
“I moved to Bloomington in August 2018 after my boyfriend, Alex, got a job down at Crane. I got a job the day we moved here working at a local boarding and daycare facility. We moved from Ohio, where I had grown up and also studied Animal Sciences at The Ohio State University where I got my Bachelor’s. Since 2015, I’ve been involved in the pet care industry. I've worked in boarding and daycare facilities as well as pet sitting and dog walking services. I’ve always wanted to work with animals, and I’m an extremely motivated person. I realized last year that there was only so much I could do as an employee of other facilities, so I decided to branch out on my own and found Level Pup.”
What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?
Be patient and understanding with your pet. They don't experience the world the same way that we do! Find a solution to a problem by addressing both your needs and the needs of your pet.
