How did you hone your craft?

It all started with Henry. In 2006 I painted a portrait of our dog Henry. He was my best friend, and by my side every minute of every day. And it was this portrait that launched me into my career as a professional pet portrait artist. We said goodbye to our sweet boy in October of 2018, and it was seriously the worst day ever. As I look at his portrait now I get that rock in my throat. The portrait is now my most cherished and prized possession and will help me keep him close to my heart for many, many years. And this is why I devote my artistic passions to creating portraits of other's wonderful & unique critters. I know how special that bond is, and it should be celebrated whether our pets are still with us, or have passed.

What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?

Because I most likely will not have the pleasure of meeting your pet, photos are everything! Make sure the photos you provide me are in focus and show off your pet's personality. Sending me multiple photos or videos will help me truly understand your unique friend and capture that essence in my artwork.

What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!

I am truly obsessed with my own pets, and have painted and drawn them many times.
