How did you hone your craft?
I've contributed over 1500 hours as a Shelter Volunteer and am currently an active Foster. For four years I operated a home-based Dog Daycare/Boarding Operation managing up to 10 dogs daily and 7 dogs overnight. All dogs were walked twice daily, and lived harmoniously, without incident. I earned my Industry certification and am required to continually educate myself regarding the most up to date science and rewards based techniques available.
What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?
Rather than focusing on the 'undesirable behavior', train a new more desirable, replacement behavior.
What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!
I love helping pet parents understand how their dogs communicate and learn.
