Healing By Gat - Animal and Pet Reiki Services - Nationwide

Given that I have been a Reiki master for several years now, I don't know how I didn’t think about treating animals with Reiki since the beginning.

Four years ago my friend C shared the sad news that her cat had been diagnosed with cancer. As an empathic healer, I wanted to ease their pain. I let her know about how Reiki treatments might help her cat and offered to give him a session.
I introduced myself to her very handsome Turkish Van named Hugs. He is princely and has the eyes of an old soul.
He looked at me suspiciously, yet slowly, we made a connection, and I was able to give him 10 minutes of Reiki before he wandered off. Three days later, I got a call from C who noticed improvements in Hugs's energy and behavior.

She asked me to return for more treatments. The second time I came, Hugs lay down on her bed, accepting treatment for 20 minutes before getting up to play. Later that day, C called me, excitedly, to share that Hugs was more playful, his appetite had returned, and he seemed to be feeling much better. She ended our conversation with, "Whatever you do, please do it more!"

A few days afterward, when I arrived at their home, Hugs came to greet me, something he never does except for C and her husband. He looked into my eyes and then ran to his favorite spot on C’s bed. When I sat near him, he lay down, gently took my hand with his mouth and paws, and comfortably relaxed into an hour-long Reiki session.

Hugs' improvement has inspired me to offer Reiki to other animals and pets (happened to be most of them had come from shelters with different traumas). Reiki helped him manage his pain and supported him in healing himself. His veterinarian reported a reduction in the size of his tumors. Importantly, C herself felt more relaxed, less distressed, and more accepting of Hugs' illness. Helping pets families accept and manage their pain and fear as well as the pet, is a benefit and a lift up that I am honored to be a part of.

ABOUT REIKI AND ANIMALS
Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing.
It is administered by placing one’s hands in different positions over the body, transferring "life force energy"
that flows through us. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high,
we are more capable of being happy and healthy.
Animals have a natural understanding of Reiki and enjoy receiving it. They are particularly intuitive and responsive to the energies of their surroundings. Reiki provides them with the same benefit and healing we experience as humans, making it an effective method of caring for injuries, illnesses, emotional concerns, or virtually any problem an animal might experience. Reiki can be used alone or as a complement to other healing practices, balancing the energy patterns and strengthening the animal's natural healing systems.
