Harmony in Paws Canine Massage - Whitchurch-Stouffville, ON
I practice Canine Massage Therapy in the Toronto and Greater Toronto Areas of York and Durham regions. I studied in Toronto at the Royal Canadian College of Massage Therapy and have my Levels I, II, III from Rocky Mountain School of Animal Acupressure and Massage in Colorado. I have been teaching the Canine Massage Course at the Royal Canadian College in Toronto since November 2016.
I offer an in-home visit with a travel fee (unless in my local area), and sessions start at 45 minutes for smaller dogs and go to 60 minutes for medium and larger-sized dogs. The initial consultation if booked with the massage is free, and I will never cut a session short if it takes a while for your pet to settle. I thoroughly enjoy working with dogs, the happiness the massage brings them, and the feedback I get from owners on the positive effects they can see in their beloved pets.
I work mostly with convalescing dogs (surgery or injury), aging dogs, anxious dogs, and dogs whose owners like their dog to be in optimal shape with a monthly maintenance massage.
Please get in touch and we can discuss your dogs' specific needs and the benefits they will experience from massage therapy.
Please contact me through Petworks. Have a great day!
Thank you,
Hellen Alatzakis, CMT

How did you hone your craft?
I am a natural with massage and it was suggested to me that I study to be an RMT. Upon discovering that I could work with dogs I knew where I wanted to study to apply my skills.
What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?
Your behaviour reflects back to your pet. If you are high strung or anxious, that often reflects back to your pet. If you are fearful in situations with other animals; often that is because of signals you are unwittingly sending out.
What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!
Dogs have always gravitated to me, strangers dogs come up to me and have always allowed me to pet them, in a way that is more than petting, but now quite massage as massage is focused and deliberate in every way. Working with dogs makes me feel so satisfied as a human.
