Happy Tails Positive Dog Training - Private Dog Trainer - St. Petersburg, FL
I offer but am not limited to private lessons, Day Training, Deaf Dog training and Therapy Dog training.
I have indoor and outdoor facilities. No matter what the weather is, training is always fun, safe, and in a controlled environment.
Trainings run for 6 weeks and teach the skills that will help your pet become a well-mannered, happy part of your household and the community.
While training can be modified to include additional training requirements, my trainings cover the basics of sit, stay, come, loose leash walking, wait, leave it and polite greetings.
I will provide advice to pet guardians on how to improve your pet's life and well-being, as well as helpful tips on how to deal with behavioral issues as they arise.
Private training sessions can be taken at my home facility or at your location. Of course, private sessions can be tailored to meet your needs as well as your pets.

What year did you begin serving pets?
I began training dogs personally since I was about 10 years old, professionally in 2009 and started my own business in 2012.
How did you hone your craft?
I attended online training with Animal Behavior College (ABCDT certification) and Penn Foster (received my certification in Pet Dog Training). I have attended several seminars dealing with animal body language, aggression and dog training techniques. I continue taking seminars on how animals learn and training methods.
What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?
Be patient, consistant and work at the dog's pace. If you feel yourself getting frustrated, give your dog a command you know he can do, praise him, give him a treat and walk away. pick up the training at a later time.
What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!
I am a positive reinforcement trainer. I do not believe in forcing a dog, using fear or physical punishment to get the dog to comply. I train without touching the dog. I believe if the dog figures out what you want on their own, they learn better.
