Equine Assisted Psychotherapy - Horse Behavioral Training - Evergreen, CO
Equine Therapy addresses a variety of concerns including behavioral issues, substance abuse, eating disorders, emotional and sexual abuse, relationship issues, depression, and anxiety. Ssessions can accommodate one person, a couple, family or group. No prior experience with horses is required.
The theory behind Equine Therapy is that the normal defenses which might hamper conventional therapy dissolve in the straightforward, nonverbal interaction with horses. A trained Equine therapist works with the emotional response evoked by the human-animal interaction. Unlike prolonged therapies, core issues quickly rise to the surface to be resolved.
