Dr. Whitney Phillips - AVCA Certified Animal Chiropractor - Portland, OR
Dr. Whitney Phillips is a doctor of chiropractic who has a passion for animals. She went through additional training to become certified to treat animals through the American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA). She works with both large and small animals, mainly horses and dogs but can treat any other 4-legged mammals of all shapes and sizes. The response these animals have to chiropractic is astounding, with 90% of cases completely resolving after just 2-3 treatments!
She treats out of 2 locations; Vancouver WA and Portland OR, and also travels within the surrounding areas (additional travel costs based on mileage).
Treatments include: taking a thorough health history, gait evaluation, neuro/reflex testing, static and motion palpation, trigger point and myofascial release, full spine adjustments, myofasical kinesiotaping, rehabilitation and proprioceptive training.
Charges:
- Large animal $100 per treatment
- Small animal $60 per treatment
- Cold laser therapy $35 per session, or only $20 if added in with treatment
Also offers discounts for group treatments of more than 1 animal at one time.
Dr. Whitney's main goal is to educate the public on the benefits of chiropractic. Far too often animal owners are given the awful decision that their animals must undergo surgery or be put down, or be put on a lifetime regimen of medications. Based on personal experience, the majority of the time there is an underlying musculoskeletal component that is not being addressed. By addressing these issues, we assist the body's own mechanism of healing to take place. Generally after the very first treatment animals instantly perk up, and there is notable improvement in motion and energy level observed the next day that may have not been present for years. As a chiropractor treating humans as well, this undeniable response from animals is mind-blowing to Dr. Whitney every single time!
No matter what is going on with your beloved animals, they can find benefit from chiropractic care. Although they can't speak to you through words, they speak through behavior and body language. If you notice a lack of energy, difficultly with climbing the stairs or into a car, decreased desire to play, imbalance in gait, etc. your animal is trying to tell you they are feeling discomfort. So give your animals the gift of health and improve their quality of life by making an appointment today, we promise you will not be disappointed!
