Dr. Avery Garrabrant - AVCA Certified Animal Chiropractor - Durham, NC
Dr. Garrabrant is an American Veterinary Chiropractic Association (AVCA) Certified Animal Chiropractor. She is trained to locate and correct misalignments in the spine and extremities that may be interfering with how your pet is moving, functioning, and performing. Chiropractic adjustments involve a quick and gentle thrust into the joint to restore proper motion and function.
Animals--just like humans--need chiropractic care. Whether you have a rowdy, rambunctious puppy, a docile senior, or a well-trained agility athlete; all animals can benefit from chiropractic care. Some breeds of dogs (Dachshunds, German shepherds, bulldogs, etc) are more prone to skeletal issues and therefore need regular chiropractic care to keep them moving pain-free and to better their quality of life. Other animals such as agility athletes or hunter jumper horses may have areas in the spine or extremities that aren't moving properly, which can effect their performance.
Small animals are seen Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9-12pm at The Pet Spa in Durham (2710 Chapel Hill Rd, Durham, NC 27707) by appointment only. Dr. Garrabrant is also able to make house calls (or barn calls) for pets that are unable to travel.
