Each dog is unique and responds differently to certain techniques and Mel customizes her training to fit the dog’s learning style.

What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!

Mel’s approach to training is to reinforce desired behaviors and not reinforce for undesired behaviors. Her canine training methods are based on an understanding of what motivates the dog and use of positive reinforcement to achieve the desired outcomes as inspired by Dr. Ian Dunbar and Victoria Stilwell. She operates under a “train-the-trainer” mentality, and aims to empower pet parents with the tools and techniques needed to continue training for the lifetime of the dog.
