Dr. Meghan Salerian, a compassionate veterinarian, graduated from Tuskegee University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2012. Her journey in veterinary medicine led her to Washington, D.C., where she served as an ER veterinarian for four years. During her time there, she not only cared for countless animals but also found love in her husband, Justin. Meghan's dedication to helping more clinics and patients led her to transition into relief work, extending her reach to provide care to those in need.
In 2016, Dr. Salerian and her husband decided to make New Orleans their home, captivated by the city's rich culture, vibrant music scene, warm-hearted people, and mouthwatering cuisine. Their family expanded with the arrival of two beautiful children, adding to their already lively household, which includes a fluffy goldendoodle and a sweet cat, creating a charming little zoo at home. Meghan continues her work in relief veterinary care, passionately helping those in her community while also offering the invaluable service of in-home pet euthanasia, allowing pets to peacefully pass away in the comfort of their own homes.
Meghan's journey into veterinary medicine began at a young age when she started volunteering at local shelters and clinics in Malaysia at the tender age of seven. Her fascination with the mysteries and science of veterinary care, coupled with her deep sense of empathy and the desire to help animals, propelled her toward her lifelong calling. A pivotal moment at the age of ten, witnessing a suffering puppy find calm and peaceful passage during euthanasia, reinforced her commitment to this profession. Meghan believes that providing this last gift of peace is the ultimate act of compassion and love for our beloved pets.
In her spare time, Dr. Salerian and her husband indulge their love for adventure by traveling, scuba diving, and engaging in outdoor sports. They also share their passion for exploration with their children, introducing them to diverse cultures and places around the world. Their furry family members include Monty, a lively 9-month-old goldendoodle, and Abby, a wise 10-year-old cat, along with fond memories of two beloved vet school puppies who found solace in Meghan's care during their golden years. Meghan's unwavering dedication to bringing peace to pets and their families during their most challenging times is a testament to her compassion and commitment to the well-being of animals and the people who love them.
