Dr. Jem Scott-Emuakpor is a dedicated veterinarian with a lifelong passion for animals. Born in West Africa and raised in East Lansing, Michigan, Dr. Scott-Emuakpor's journey to becoming a veterinarian began at a young age. Her dream became a reality in 2000 when she earned her veterinary degree from Michigan State University, a moment she had eagerly anticipated for years.
Dr. Scott-Emuakpor's love for animals extends to exotic pets, and she has shared her life with a diverse array of fascinating creatures, from iguanas and hedgehogs to mice, rats, and pythons. After graduating, she embarked on a career in private practice, where she honed her skills in veterinary care. Later, she explored civil service and even ventured into the world of mobile pet grooming.
A pivotal moment in her career came when she witnessed her neighbors struggling to transport their elderly dogs for a final procedure. It was then that Dr. Scott-Emuakpor realized the critical need for in-home euthanasia services. She firmly believes that our beloved furry companions should have the opportunity to spend their final moments in the comfort of their own homes, surrounded by the familiar warmth of their loved ones.
