Berit Heyer - Pet Loss Grief Counselor - Scottsdale, AZ
There are no words that fully expresses the love we have for our pets. Your beloved fur-baby may be declining in health, has been diagnosed with a life-threatening illness, or has suddenly passed away. I offer a safe space to process the grief of your beloved pet and to make peace with the loss. Your pain, grief, disbelief, frustration, anger, and sadness are essential to the healing process. I offer tools for healthy coping mechanisms and how to handle self-care through your grief journey. I can help you be intentional with your planning for the passing into heaven which would bring about peace while you create final memories.
How you grieve, how long it takes, and what it looks like is unique to you. Finding support when we experience loss decreases the risk of developing unhealthy coping mechanisms like falling into depression, overeating, or drinking excessively. When you process your grief in a safe place, you realize that you are not alone and know you’ll get through it. I truly understand your love and your loss because I am one of you... Life is precious. Together, let's honor what we've been graciously blessed with...our pets' lives whom we love so dearly - Please note that I provide telehealth only. I accept insurance: Cigna, United Health Care and Blue Cross/Blue Shield. Please contact me through Petworks. Looking forward to helping you. I am available for online therapy through a HIPPA-compliant video session (similar to zoom) for any person located outside AZ, for coaching sessions and support, please visit my FB group Forever in Our Hearts: Pet Loss.
