Reiki (pronounced ray-kee) is a Japanese word meaning “universal life energy”. It is a healing modality that promotes stress reduction and relaxation. It is a very powerful therapy, outwardly very subtle in its application but inwardly quite profound. It works on the deepest levels of consciousness; a horse knows what is needed and will draw energy to the area requiring healing. Energy blocks are released and natural balance is restored. Energy blocks and congestion can occur for a number of reasons. Emotional trauma, illness, injury and stress are just some of the causes.

Reiki will do no harm … ever … it is pure healing energy for your horse, and for you.
Reiki always goes to the source of the problem whether physical, mental, emotional or spiritual in nature and accelerates the body’s ability to heal itself.

Reiki takes nothing from the animal, rather offers the gift of peaceful healing and relaxation, restoring natural balance.

How long is a treatment?
A treatment can be anywhere from 30-60 minutes. I take my cues from the one in charge of the session … the horse decides how much to take and for how long.
