Welcome! I’m Melissa, the founder of Calming Creek, an animal communicator, energy healer, and pet wellness coach. I specialize in telepathic communication with both living and passed pets, tuning into their thoughts, emotions, and experiences. Every pet, whether it’s a playful pup, a reserved cat, or even a fish or turtle, has a unique personality that I can connect with.
In our session, I’ll start by asking simple, familiar questions, like your pet's favorite treats or sleeping spots, and have them introduce themselves so I can sense their essence.
To get started, just provide your pet’s name, species/breed, and gender, along with any specific questions or concerns you may have.
One of the most fascinating aspects of my work is how past pets often come through during readings. Many times, they’ve reincarnated into your life in unexpected ways! If a past pet shows up, I’ll always acknowledge their presence, as it often carries important meaning for you.
My Approach
Using telepathy, I create a direct visualization and energetic connection to communicate with your pet. Sometimes, I can physically sense what your pet is experiencing—whether it's emotions, their surroundings, or even specific smells and tastes. The process is interactive, and your input helps deepen and clarify the experience.
I work with animal clients worldwide, and there’s nothing special you need to do on your end for the reading. I’ll simply use their photo to connect with your animal, so feel free to let them go about their day in their environment, which creates the best connection.
From understanding behavioral challenges to providing guidance during end-of-life stages, I’m passionate about helping animals communicate their health needs, desires, and messages. Whether it’s a dog, cat, horse, or even a duck, each pet has something sweet and sincere to share, and all species are welcome!

A half-hour is best as a brief check-in with one animal. You will provide a photo of your animal along with their name and age, prior to our scheduled time. Sharing any specific questions in advance will help us make the most of our time together, though there is always the potential for additional insights to emerge.

My journey began with my innate bond to animals, which I nurtured over time. I expanded my skills through certifications in various fields, including becoming a holistic pet health coach, a canine nutritionist, EFT for animals, and a Reiki Master.
What tip would you give pet parents for working with animals that you've learned as a pro?
Trust your intuition and deepen your connection with your pet by listening to their energy and emotions, as animals communicate through subtle cues and a compassionate, patient approach.
What is one thing you want pet parents to know about you? It can be whatev-fur you'd like!
